Roland Abbreviation Guide
BON Bonus. A Roland Volume ID referring to bonus menus and patches.
FLM Full Length Mix. These appear on Disc C only and are the original full length recordings of the live grooves.
FMx or FMix Full Mix. A mix loop containing every element of the complete groove.
GC A Groove Control™ Volume, Performance or Patch.
Mnu or Menu Menu Performance or Patch. Contains several different sounds or grooves in one keyboard layout.
PRC Percussion. A Roland Volume ID referring to Percussion menus and patches.
RMx or RMix Remix. A Remixed groove based on sounds from the library.
SMx or SMix Small Mix. Not as many elements as a Full Mix.
Note: At the Patch level, the first Patch in a Volume/Performance is a menu patch displaying the groove's full name. Each subsequent patch begins with a 3 character abbreviation of the name followed by a description.
Note: Every loop, whether GC or not, always has a 2 or 3 character numeric prefix which refers to the original tempo or BPM of the groove.
